OT: How We Roll

Since The Boy's Occupational Therapist had to miss his appointment last Wednesday due to Early Release day, she blessed us with a Fat Ton of homework to work on for the week. Okay not really a Fat Ton but Man That Was A Lot of Letter Writing per all the complaints fielded from the one writing.

This is how we roll with our OT - it's helping us with our grasp and our fine motor skills but not doing much for the whole One Of These Kids Is Not Like The Other bit what with all the get-up
In case you are an inquiring mind, here is how it breaks down:Thankfully we finished it up tonight and can turn it in tomorrow, just in time for Ms. Sam The OT to visit at 2:30 in the afternoon!

  1. That is actually very interesting. My nephew (one of the 18...lol) has NF1 (a type of MD). I think this would really help him. He also has a congenital muscle defect so he does not have very good fine motor skills. he is not near as bad as some but he does have issues. For instance he couldn't jump with both feet till he was 6 years old. He had to crawl up steps till he was 4 years old and he still cannot tie his shoes. Other than these things he is just like any normal preteen. But I may mention this to my mom (she has custody of him). thanks for the informative post.

  2. As a sign that I've been subscribed to various listserves for a very long time . . . I read the subject line of this post as "Off Topic: How We Roll." This naturally had me quite confused at first.
