The Boy started 1st Grade this morning! Hard to believe this time last year I was a sobbing mess of a Mama over his starting Kindergarten. My how that year simply FLEW BY, much like our summer of fun. We're excited for a new year, with our not-for-long toothless grin. Our BFF isn't in our class, but there is hope for new friends (and some old friends, too!).His take on things? It was good but I have only been a 1st grader for one day. I like my teacher. We had a pretend fire drill. I know my old teacher misses me a lot. And I like Kindergarten better because it started later. Oh and we only got to have recess for like six seconds.
We're gearing up for Day 2 - here's to hoping it runs as smoothly as Day 1 did! The lunch box request have been made, the bag is all packed and after a little bit of stalling? The Boy is all snuggled for the night. Six thirty comes mighty early 'round here. The Boy says it's my first time waking up in the middle of the night this is so cool and I had to share No As A Matter Of Fact We Just Have To Wake Before The Sun Rises Now. And for those of y'all that know me well? That was 16 more words than I like to use at that hour. Since that hour comes quickly I best head on to bed myself.

Aww, I love the pic and he has grown so much. I bet he will be great in first grade. When I saw your title it reminded me of the song they sing in the car on the Veggie tales Movie Jonah....it's the first day in the first grade.....its the second day in the second grade... anyway have a blast.
